MEANT TO BE

For a school assignment, we were tasked with choosing a place in Stockholm that holds special meaning to us. I created a poster inspired by Choklad Fabriken, the location of my first date with my wife.

To capture a spontaneous feel and incorporate the essence of the place, I used melted chocolate to sketch the initial designs, which I then digitized. For the final poster, I selected the most meaningful Japanese characters, adding a holographic backing to symbolize the moment we both realized the importance of transparency in our relationship and the rosy tint of our lives together.

I produced both a Japanese and an English edition of the poster, ensuring that the message—a Japanese proverb about the nature of love—could be appreciated regardless of language.

Additionally, I created an animated Instagram post using the 3D feature in After Effects to share this special memory digitally.
